FAQ's About Grant Writing 101

  • IS GRANT WRITING 101 FOR CATHOLIC MISSIONARIES?

Yes! In fact, GW101 was created especially for missionaries and for their missionary projects. All of the funders we list provide support for projects in missionary countries.

  • IS GW101 MORE THEORY OR PRACTICE?

Both, but with more emphasis on practical application. By the end of GW101, you will have written and/or reviewed several examples of each component of a generic grant application.

  • WHAT WILL I LEARN IF I TAKE THE GW101 COURSE?

You will acquire all the basic knowledge about writing a successful grant proposal and how to find research and find funders that support projects like yours.

  • I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A GRANT PROPOSAL BEFORE. IS GW101 TOO ADVANCED FOR ME?

No! In fact, it is designed for people who are entirely unfamiliar with the Catholic grant writing world. Each participant must put in the time, but you absolutely have the ability to learn a great deal in this course.

  • MY SCHEDULE AS A MISSIONARY IS VERY IRREGULAR. IS THAT A PROBLEM IN TAKING GW101?

Not at all. We designed the course so that you can stop and start and complete chapters at your own pace. However, the course software keeps track of your completion progress, so you can skip any of the chapters! 😊
